Actually Writing Query Letters and Salable Articles

Every article and query letter is different, of course. But there are key winning elements that all items in print share. Here you will see how to find topics that consistently meet the needs of the publication, irresistibly frame them for immediate use, and sell them to an overwhelmed editor. Those key elements are what put some writers in print 90% of the time. The rest are usually forever banging on the door.

There's no magic to it, nor is "pull" or age or gender any real advantage. It's a set of straightforward steps regularly applied that make the difference. This new seminar assumes you have already heard at least one of Gordon's "selling" seminars (mentioned below), or will soon. With the selling process at hand, you then must do the two most important steps: write the query letter and follow up its "go ahead" with an article as good or better.

Let Gordon Burgett show you the format, tools, and process that have put 1700+ of his articles (and 27 books) in print, with the same precision and fun that he shares explaining How to Sell 75% of Your Freelance Writing and Writing Travel Articles That Sell. This is a new seminar designed to put you in print quickly and reliably. Some in-session exercises too, to take home with a dandy workbook.

The planning, resource-finding, words used, and composition structure are so similar that a selling veteran can lead you a long way toward regularly and profitably getting in print. What goes on the actually submitted query and copy pages is the focus here. We provide the writing dots. You fill them in with selling prose.
